Programs

We offer the following programs at Embrace:

Preschool 3— 2 ½ -3 year olds
Preschool 3 focuses on socialization with peers as they learn to share, play together and explore the world around them.  The ABeka Curriulum begins letter and number recognition. The children also begin to learn responsibility and start to gain independence while building self-esteem.

Preschool 4— 4 year olds
The Preschool 4 ABeka Curriculum encourages children to develop their skills and confidence. Each day the curriculum incorporates language, math, science, creative arts, music, motor skills and social development.  Our Preschool 4 Program prepares children for Kindergarten and future success in school by developing a stronger vocabulary through letters, words and eventually phonics.  They also learn proper handwriting techniques to ensure future success in writing.

Pre-K—5 year olds
Pre-K—for 5 year olds or for children who have either missed the cut-off date for Kindergarten or they need one more year to continue to develop socially, emotionally, or academically.  The Pre-K class implements ABeka’s Kindergarten curriculum.  Our caring, experienced teachers are dedicated to providing a rich, nurturing environment that will prepare your child for Kindergarten. We promote independence in an organized atmosphere, as it is increasingly important for children to think for themselves. They also teach children to work well within a group through listening, sharing and cooperation.

All of the above programs are offered 3, 4, or 5 days per week.  You can choose a half-day program from 9:30am-1:00pm or a full-day program from 6:30am-6:00pm. Prices are available upon request. Included in our Preschool Program are weekly music class, gym class, and library.  We also offer extracurricular classes of Ballet, Tap, and Tae Kwon Do.

School Age Before and After School Program
Embrace offers before and/or after school care for Wyandot Kindergarten, 1st Grade and Independence Elementary.
We believe that all children need to feel a sense of belonging. We provide that for the children taking part in our before and/or after school program each day. We consistantly teach them values and help them to gain a strong sense of self-esteem. Schoolage children also need to feel safe in their environment. We uphold our written "Policy against Violence and Bullying" in order to maintain a safe place for children to come to each day. We also help them to continue to advance in the areas of social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical development.

Each day, the school-age children come to Embrace and are met by teachers who care about how their day was, are willing to listen if they have encountered a problem or just want to share exciting news. There is a nutritious snack awaiting them. In addition, there is time for homework to be completed, if necessary. Our School-age classroom has age appropriate books, games, computer programs, dramatic play items, art supplies, and areas to get together with their friends and unwind. We love to see children with smiles on their faces; therefore, we work hard to provide a worry free atmosphere.

While attending Embrace the School-agers:
* Learn how to work together on projects and learn what cooperation is
* Learn to respect others, have compassion for others, and treat each other with kindness
* Learn to deal with stressful situations and work towards a positive outcome
* Can feel free to express themselves without fear or criticism from others
* Gain knowledge and listening skills and learn how to follow the rules of the classroom

Summer Camp Programs
Our Embrace’s Summer Camp is offered for ages five through twelve years of age. We have a planned curriculum so that children will continue to develop intellectually during the time that school is not in session.  Our summer program bridges science, geography, math, reading, history and writing skills to ensure that they will be more than ready to succeed in their upcoming school year.  We also plan activities around the summer themes and coordinate field trips as well as In-House Programming so that they can continue to learn while they are having fun.
